One great thing about being a card designer is that you want to use your art and craft supplies to enter all the fun challenges. Who cares if you win a prize, to me I win every time I complete a card or project. I try to use all my crafty supplies so that I don't feel like I wasted money on any of this clutter. Card making helps me use up some of it. It is even better when you get a cute little image from the sponsor to play with like this adorably cranky crab from this months sponsor Whimsy Stamps. Here is my card for this weeks ANYTHING GOES card challenge on TWISTED THURSDAY at outlawzchallenges.ning.com

I seriously need to turn my backyard patio from drab to fab, so why not start off with some colorful place mats! I have 3 more to go! I am making 4 in assorted colors. I am hoping it will give a cleaner feel to the patio and if anything bring some color to it! :D This particular pattern was very easy to work up as long as you remember to keep slip stitching to the center of the previous rounds shell stitches before starting the next round, you will do just fine! ;) When I have them all finished I will return with an updated post of how they look! You might even get a before and after shot!
Do you crochet and want to try this pattern? It can be found here:

It is once again time for this week's challenge over at Outlawz Challenges on Twisted Thursday! This weeks optional twist is Masculine. I have a hard time doing masculine so my design was based on the male reader in the family. I tried to give it a book design. This month we have a wonderful sponsor, Whimsy Stamps. The adorable fire flies in the jar image is one of their great digi designs!
