Crochet Native American Granny Square

I am actually pretty dang proud of myself on this Native

American Square! Why you may ask? It was the first time I

looked at a picture without a pattern and figured it out on

my own without having to buy the pattern! The triangle

was my first attempt at it.

Amour Card

Using a set of Stampin Up stamps I created this card. It is very similar to one I had found on Pinterest for inspiration. I have made a set of 20 cards like this to include in the 2015 AnySoldier All Occasion card swap group on Facebook.

Crochet USA Can Cozy

Finished the  United States flag themed cozy!

Independence Day of the United States, also referred to as Fourth of July or July Fourth in the U.S., is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress declaring that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and no longer part of the British Empire.

Crochet Rebel Flag Can Cozy

2nd Attempt

Want to purchase this pattern click here:

Today in South Carolina the Rebel flag has been removed from the state capital where it has flown since the 1960's! It is a sad day in history when our historical monuments are being threatened. I made this can cozy in memory of all confederates black and white who fought and died for this flag.

May you all Rest in Peace.

Here is some information straight from SNOPES.COM

MYTH: The Confederate Battle Flag represents racism today.
FACT: The Confederate Battle Flag today finds itself in the center of much controversy and hoopla going on in several states. The cry to take this flag down is unjustified. It is very important to keep in mind that the Confederate Battle Flag was simply just that. A battle flag. It was never even a National flag, so how could it have flown over a slave nation or represented slavery or racism? This myth is continued by lack of education and ignorance. Those that vilify the Confederate Battle Flag are very confused about history and have jumped upon a bandwagon with loose wheels.

Crochet America Themed Pinwheel Dishcloth

These items I crochet for my crochet swap partner in the Crochet Dishcloth Swap. This months dish cloth theme is America. My thought was those pinwheel whirly jigs that kids blow to make spin around or you sit them in your yard in hopes that the wind will spin it. Why not toss in a little key chain charm just for fun!

You can find the pattern for the dishcloth here:

Painted Pistachio Flower

Yesterday I used the shells from pistachio's and turned them into flowers. Today I took one and using finger nail polish decided to paint it up!

What can I do with them now? Any ideas?
